Harrison Duran is a privately operating paleontologist specializing in the Hell Creek Formation. He has gained notoriety through his viral social media accounts, accumulating 1.7 million followers, which document his fossil lab preparation and excavations. His videography and storytelling convey the work and skill required by paleontology, as well as its significance to our understanding of the natural world. He is an advisor and ambassador for Colossal Biosciences. While collaboration and consulting with public institutions, he seeks to display the symbiotic relationship between private and public entities, and its importance for the future of paleontology.
